the secure exit shade

The Secure Exit Shade is made of powder coated metal that is folded into sections and is held together using heavy duty magnets. The sides of the shade act as feet and are bolted to the inside of the classroom or office door which can be adjusted up or down to assure a proper fit. When completely folded and bolted to the top of the widow it displays the ‘Secure Exits Logo’ and when popped open from the bottom it displays emergency instructions and the color status wheel.  During a lockdown, pop open the shade from the bottom and guide down the shade to cover the window.  Keep the status wheel on white, until further notice is given. During a shelter in place, pop open the shade from the bottom and guide down the shade to cover the window. Turn the status wheel to the appropriate color within the active color section. This will indicate the status of the room for emergency personnel or administration that are responding to the emergency.

You change the color on the status wheel by using the palm of your hand.  Continue to move the wheel until you reach the appropriate color within the active color section.
